Typhoon Haiyan has come and gone, but left its indelible “footprints” of destruction, death and devastation in the land and lives of millions of residents in Tacloban. Body count was originally believed to be in 10s of thousands, but is slightly less than 3000. However, more bodies are still being pulled out of the rubble. The US, Uk, Australian and other governments have, and are still providing aid in the form of food, military support and health workers to this region to help reduce the impact of this natural disaster. If you would like to donate some money for this cause, please visit the Disaster Emergency Committee website which can be found here DEC
To borrow Tescos catchphrase, “Every little helps”.
